Children and families topic flyers
Our flyers highlight Research in Practice resources relating to a range of topics to support evidence-informed practice with children and their families.
Our topic flyers aim to support evidence-informed practice with children and their families.
The flyers cover a range of topics including trauma-informed practice, strengths-based working, organisational resilience, equality and diversity, and mental health and wellbeing. They point to Research in Practice resources to support evidence-informed practice in these areas.
We have also produced a range of flyers for work with adults.

How to use topic flyers
Research in Practice topic flyers can be used in a number of ways. These include:
- Sharing with colleagues who have identified individual learning needs on a particular area.
- Sharing with teams with a particular focus to help them explore the various resources available to support their work.
- Supporting group and one-to-one supervision sessions to aid conversations and learning.
- As pre-course preparation ahead of any relevant internal learning events. For example, you could ask colleagues to engage with one resource prior to attendance and share their reflections with the group.
- As follow-up resources following any relevant internal learning events, signposting colleagues to further resources to support their learning.
- As exercises during internal learning events. For example, find a topic or resource, explore the evidence and feedback the key messages.
- Supporting learning and development on themes identified via audit.
- As handouts to raise awareness of Research in Practice resources at face-to-face events. For example, Practice Week.
- As posters or flyers in communal spaces to help remind colleagues of the resources available.
