What we can provide for you

We offer a wide range of commissioned activities aimed at social care, health, criminal justice and higher education sectors. Our large-scale national projects support systems change through collaborative communities of practice, consultations and feedback from those with lived experience.

We are a leading provider delivering research and evaluation services to enable the monitoring of the quality, impact and value of services. Working collaboratively with individual organisations, as well as local and national partnerships.

Working in partnership

Services are provided to a variety of government departments, local and national organisations and many other professionals to support system-wide improvements.

Evidence-informed approach

Our approach is evidence-informed: we weave research evidence, professional expertise and the views of those with lived experience throughout our research and evaluations. Blending insights from academia, professional practice and lived experience is core to Research in Practice and our over-arching strategic approach to the development of evidence-informed policy strategy and practice.

It is vital that social care policy and practice are ethical, defensible and have the best chance of being effective.

We build on this triad of evidence throughout our evaluations, with focus on producing meaningful outputs to increase the impact of useful evidence and supporting professionals to engage with the people they serve in developing and improving practice. This is translated throughout our work.

What is evidence-informed practice? In this short film Dez Holmes, Director of Research in Practice, explains how this approach works in practice.
