This interactive session will share learning from research, practice and lived experience along with practice implications for adults social care.

Learning outcomes

As a result of attending this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify key areas of practice where poverty and safeguarding adults connect.
  • Understand the intersectional factors which may increase risks around poverty and safeguarding adults.
  • Develop confidence in talking about poverty with adults drawing upon care and support.
  • Consider practice responses which uphold dignity, human rights and equity in relation to poverty and safeguarding adults.
